Cloudwalkers (2005-2006) NL, México

"Cloudwalkers" re-question realities throughout aesthetically means of visual arts that are too difficult to approach throughout science's methodology...

The Cloudwalkers art projects are going in hand with my “Art Realities” MFA thesis in New Media at the Transart Institute, and one could read a close relation of theories and practices of contemporary art as well in this project. The primal trigger for realization of the project was re-questioning realities throughout aesthetically means of fine arts that are impossible or too difficult to approach throughout the methodology and language of the science. It is made as criticism of the roughness of the scientific stiff doctrine of Positivism, that was established by Auguste Comte in 19th century as a philosophy that states that the only authentic knowledge is scientific knowledge, and that such knowledge can only come from positive affirmation of theories through strict scientific method.

(The Cloudwalker’s project)…is provided by carefully chosen old and new media and communication systems used in the project: one-to-one communication with the people at the street and appropriating the mainstream commercial flyer culture, video and computer animation both projected in the gallery or site-specific installations and displayed at computer monitors at home, internet blog / virtual community, hand-drawings at canvasses or papers made in interactive environments by audience and using both digital and analogue photos.
